Liniar customers will find it even easier now to achieve Window Energy Ratings (WERs). Two staff members have been approved as certified simulators by the British Fenestration Ratings Council (BFRC). Chris Armes and Colin Sharpe achieved the standard required in record time. They attained the status in only one month!

As certified simulators Chris and Colin can now assist customers achieve optimum energy ratings using a wide range of glazed unit combinations.

Liniar has been designed to achieve the highest WERs. It was designed in conjunction with Therm software to achieve exceptional thermal performance by ensuring the most efficient use of all elements, maximising performance and minimising unnecessary materials. Liniar conducts continuous thermal simulations using a variety of glass, gas and spacer bars so fabricators can easily achieve a full suite of energy efficient windows. Liniar’s comprehensive library of results means Liniar can advise customers of the most cost effective route to their selected ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’ rating.

Liniar systems can achieve an ‘A’ rating, with float glass replacing the more commonly specified low iron outer pane without using expensive thermal inserts. Liniar can also achieve an ‘A+8’ rating with an appropriate 28mm double glazed, argon filled unit, again without expensive thermal inserts. More importantly, thermal excellence does not come at the expense of security: the same window is BS7950 accredited for enhanced security.

Managing Director Roger Hartshorn comments: “We’re delighted that Chris and Colin have achieved their new status. It means our customers can rely on Liniar to help them achieve the highest levels of thermal efficiency. As a result our customers are well placed to take advantage of all the opportunities WERs offer.”
