uPVC Casement Windows
Casement windows are the most popular style of uPVC window in the UK, offering a timeless and popular home improvement solution. Liniar has updated the design by creating an advanced market-leading, multi-chambered uPVC profile for its casement windows, which uses less steel than traditional frames. With frames featuring Liniar's patented, co-extruded bubble gasket, property owners can say goodbye to draughty windows!
Casement Window ConfigurationS
When it comes to configurations, Liniar's uPVC casement windows offer total versatility. With fixed or opening panes, top or side hung sashes, casement windows can be used in bay or bow windows and also as a French window - ideal for larger opening expanses, for example as a fire escape or for accessing a flat roof.
Adding mock sash horns, astragal or Georgian bars and patterned or etched glass will help you to personalise Liniar uPVC casement windows in the style of your own home, whether traditional or contemporary.
Wide choice of casement window profiles
Liniar's uPVC casement windows are available with a choice of profiles, or uPVC frames - energy-saving 70mm casements in Standard or EnergyPlus, or the very latest Passivhaus-certified 90mm casement windows - Zero|90 - for ultra energy efficiency.
Slim uPVC sight lines let in maximum light and all sizes of Liniar casement window can be fitted with either double or triple glazing, depending on the U-value required.
Casement Window FAQs
Do Liniar uPVC casement windows need a lot of maintenance?
No - a simple wipe with a mild detergent will help to ensure the frames remain in perfect condition, and a light oil applied to opening mechanisms each year should keep them operating smoothly.
Why is the patented Liniar bubble gasket better than other gaskets or seals used in uPVC casement windows?
The Liniar team designed the patented bubble gasket included in its casement windows from scratch, having experienced problems with other window systems with traditional seals. Liniar's unique co-extruded bubble gasket delivers a continuous seal around each frame, even in the corners, to keep your windows draught and leak free.
What's the difference between chamfered and sculptured casement window frames?
The scultptured appearance on frames, often referred to as 'ovolo' or curved, offers a more traditional style, with a chamfered (bevelled) finish resulting in a more contemporary, flat surface. You can see the difference here.
Should I choose double or triple glazing for my Liniar casement windows?
Triple glazed units offer higher energy ratings than double glazing, however Liniar's 28mm double glazed uPVC casement windows are still highly energy efficient. As a general rule, if you'd like the highest possible ratings, go for triple glazing - but always check with your installer, as the make-up of every window depends on the size and the components used.
