Superb thermal performance
All Liniar sliding door systems come with high levels of energy efficiency, made possible by Liniar’s patented, co-extruded bubble gasket which forms a continuous welded gasket seal to eliminate draughts and leaks. Liniar's uPVC patio doors are also offered in both double-glazed or triple-glazed options to achieve U-values as low as 1.2 - helping to save energy usage and costs.
Patio Door FAQs
What is a crash stop for on sliding patio doors?
Just like its name, a crash stop is there to prevent the sliding pane crashing into the static pane of a patio door. Most sliding patio door systems have a rubber buffer at the top and bottom of the door frame to cushion the impact - however Liniar patio doors have been cleverly designed to include crash stops inside the frame. This helps to keep the lines sleek and the overall doors looking more attractive.
Should I choose a sliding patio door or a bi-folding door?
If you have furniture or fixtures inside your room which cannot be moved, you may decide to choose a sliding door so one pane of glass remains fixed pane. If on the other hand you are able to create the space to stack opening doors, either inside or outside, you could open up the whole wall to the outdoors with a bi-folding door.
What function does the decelerator in the ModLok™ patio door perform?
With many sliding patio door systems, it's possible to pull the doors open quickly, leaving the sliding pane open to crashing into the static door. The ModLok™ system includes a decelerator that actually helps to slow down the velocity of the moving pane before it comes to rest on the hidden crash stop designed into the doors - making it safer to operate.
How many panes wide can I have sliding patio doors?
Liniar sliding patio door systems are available in configurations up to 4 panes wide, with various options on opening panes. Speak to your local Liniar supplier to discover the options they offer.
Are Liniar patio doors available with triple glazing?
Liniar patio doors can accommodate both double and triple glazing, offering U-values as low as 1.2 for the triple glazing option.
