Aluminium Flush Residential Doors
Aluminium residential doors, which combine strength with style to provide a highly secure, thermally efficient entrance for your home - all with a sleek, flush finish.
sleek strong stylish
The 70mm aluminium residential door from Liniar's Alumina range offers the ultimate in sleek, strong styling for a statement entrance to your home - all with a flush finish.
bigger picture
Manufactured in the UK, the Alumina residential door has a larger maximum size than uPVC residential doors, so it can be used in locations with wider and taller apertures. Its flush styling means it is an ideal companion for Liniar flush sash windows, including the Resurgence range.
comfort
Although aluminium is not traditionally seen as an energy efficient material, Alumina breaks the mould, with a patented thermal lock helping doors to achieve U-values as low as 1.2 W/m²K. Adding coloured foils at the manufacturing stage means a warm-touch finish and a wide choice of style options, all with a perfect match to your flush windows.
peace of mind
High security goes without saying, and the aluminium residential door holds PAS24, Part Q and Secured By Design accreditation for your family's peace of mind. Add a choice of easy-access thresholds and Alumina ticks all the boxes.

Alumina Residential Doors FAQs
Is an aluminium door stronger than a uPVC door?
The density and strength of aluminium compared to uPVC material means Alumina residential doors can be manufactured both wider and taller, providing a strong, secure and stylish entrance door for your home that's ideal for heavy-duty or heavy traffic areas.
Can I add decorative glass to my aluminium residential door?
Yes - in fact, you can choose from double or triple glazing for even greater energy efficiency, both with plain, patterned or etched glass options. Your Liniar supplier will be able to advise on the glazing choices available.
What is Alumina?
Alumina is the brand name for the fully aluminium door range launched by Liniar in 2016, designed to meet the growing need for larger and more heavy-duty doors. In addition to the 70mm aluminium residential door, Alumina is available as bi-fold doors spanning up to 8.5 metres wide, as well as aluminium French doors - and even bi-fold windows - all with a beautifully flush exterior finish.
Will I need to have my flooring disturbed to add a low threshold?
No. The unique design of Liniar's low threshold options means they sit neatly on top of existing brickwork, removing the need for trench excavation and minimising disruption to your home during installation.
Can I get an aluminium front door to look like a traditional timber door?
Yes! With Alumina doors, the design possibilities are almost endless. Adding warm, woodgrain-patterned foils and traditionally styled panels will give an aluminium door a totally different appearance from a modern, powder-coated grey door.
