90mm Residential Doors FAQs
What's the difference between a 70mm and a 90mm (Zero|90) residential door?
From the outside and the inside, both doors look exactly the same, with similar options on colours and finishes. The main difference comes from the parts you don't see. The 90mm depth of the Zero|90 residential door includes additional symmetrical chambers, helping to trap more pockets of air and making the 90mm door even more energy efficient than its 70mm sister. It also allows for thicker glazing to be installed for even lower U-values (and higher energy savings!)
Do 90mm residential doors just come in white uPVC?
Not at all - every 90mm residential door can be personalised to suit the style of your home. Choose from a huge range of coloured foils, some with a woodgrain-effect finish and others with a modern, textured appearance. Add glass panels, either plain or decorative, in double or triple glazing for the highest energy efficiency. Install with matching sidelights for an impactful entrance to your home and to add 'kerb appeal'.
Can I have a 90mm residential door with a sculptured (curved) bead?
This is subject to the glazing specification. You can choose a sculptured bead with 48mm and 56mm glazing, or a chamfered bead on 28mm and 48mm glazing options.
Will adding a letter box affect the energy efficiency of my 90mm residential door?
Yes - a letter box cannot be sealed (like a glazed pane would be) so it makes sense that the energy efficient properties of your door will be reduced by adding a letter box. Consider adding a post box outside your home in order to retain the door's highly efficient properties.
Will my 90mm residential door match my Zero|90 90mm windows?
Yes - choosing your doors and windows from the same supplier guarantees a perfect match, both in style and in colour. You could even choose Liniar 70mm chamfered windows and a 90mm residential door in the same colours!
