Sliding Patio Doors FAQs
What is a crash stop for, on sliding patio doors?
Just like its name, a crash stop is there to prevent the sliding pane crashing into the static pane of a patio door. Most sliding patio door systems have a rubber buffer at the top and bottom of the door frame to cushion the impact - however the Liniar sliding door has been cleverly designed to include crash stops inside the frame. This helps to keep the lines sleek and the overall doors looking more attractive.
Should I choose a sliding patio door or a bi-folding door?
If you have furniture or fixtures inside your room which cannot be moved, you may decide to choose a sliding door so one pane of glass remains fixed in place. If on the other hand you are able to create the space to stack opening, folding doors, either inside or outside, you could open up the whole wall to the outdoors with a bi-folding door.

Are the Liniar sliding patio doors designed to be weather-resistant and suitable for colder months?
Absolutely! Liniar's sliding patio doors are a perfect choice for your home, especially during the colder months. They come with a unique multi-chambered profile that cleverly breaks up mini-convection currents. This feature helps to prevent the transfer of warm air from inside to outside, ensuring that your home stays comfortably heated. Unlike other systems, Liniar's doors excel at keeping the heat inside, making them highly weather-resistant and energy-efficient. So, you can enjoy a snug and inviting atmosphere in your home all year round!
