British Safety Council rates Liniar ‘very good’ in latest audit

This commitment to safety is not just something we say, but something the entire team live every day, and the result of our recent Five Star Occupational Health and Safety Audit is a testament to this. The procedure represents the most comprehensive audit on the market and was conducted by seasoned safety professionals.

We are thrilled to announce that Liniar achieved a rating of ‘Very Good’ with an overall score above 85% on its first attempt.

Dave Chambers, Director of Engineering, Facilities and Safety, explains why he selected the British Safety Council to conduct the audit, telling us, “Renowned as one of the world's leading health, safety, and sustainability authorities. The Council is committed to protecting and improving the wellbeing of workers, firmly believing that a healthy and safe work environment is also good for business.

“Their rigorous audit process evaluated Liniar's health and safety management systems, looking at policies, procedures, and practices to ensure they meet the highest standards. We believe such an audit adds value to the business for stakeholders including insurers, customers and crucially - existing and potential team members.”

Continuous improvement

Dave continues, “Achieving such a high score in this comprehensive audit is a significant accomplishment for Liniar. It reflects our longstanding efforts to foster a culture where safety is ingrained in every aspect of our operations.

“However, we know there’s always room for improvement and never rest on our laurels. We scored extremely well on implementation, which represents the ‘doing’ part of our health and safety practices but identified some areas for improvement around documenting our strategies. As such, we’re looking at achieving an ‘excellent’ score in the next audit.”
