In the stocks to raise money and smiles

The team at industry leading PVCu systems company Liniar raised an impressive £2,000 for Red Nose Day by throwing wet sponges at their senior management team!

Liniar has a strong history of supporting both local and national charities and saw Red Nose Day as a great way to have some fun whilst raising funds for worthwhile causes.

Martin Thurley, Group Managing Director commented,

“Kerry Sweet and Ronny Stoppard from our Purchasing Department suggested a great way to raise funds for Red Nose Day would be to put the Senior Management Team in stocks and charge the rest of the team to throw wet sponges at them. Unsurprisingly, this went down very well with everyone at Liniar!”

Martin continued,

“I always knew Liniar products were versatile, but I never expected that we’d be building stocks out of our fencing panels – or that I’d be held in them whilst the team threw sponges and whole buckets of water at me! It was a fantastic day, and we not only raised a healthy amount of money but also raised many smiles.”

In addition, the team at Liniar has also raised £2,000 for the Disaster Emergency Committee for the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal from cash donations made by the team members across its Derbyshire site.

Martin concluded,

“I never cease to be amazed at the generosity of everyone at Liniar and feel truly privileged to be a part of this team.”
