Liniar open days wow customers
Systems house Liniar opened its doors to customers for two days in March to launch a range of new products and show off the revamped showroom at its Derbyshire headquarters.
Since launching in 2008, Liniar hasn’t stopped in the pursuit of excellence within the fenestration industry. With Roger Hartshorn at the helm, new product innovation and design remains high on the agenda at all times and the latest batch of offerings from Liniar is no exception.90 customers attended across the two days to see the developments at Liniar, get hands-on with the new products and look at the updates to the showroom.
Liniar Zoom roof
Most readers will be familiar with the Zoom conservatory roof system, which Roger purchased in full last year. Now rebranded Liniar Zoom, the roof is available as a complete kit for Liniar customers, with a whole host of features that set it apart from other roofs on the market. Perfectly colour matched with Liniar’s window and door range, the Liniar Zoom roof provides Liniar customers with a single point of guarantee for their entire conservatory installation.
And brand new design features such as the innovative EnergyPlus rigid twin walled top cap and Liniar’s slide-on end caps mean the Liniar Zoom roof is not only more energy efficient, it’s extremely simple to fit.
With a new box gutter assembly including a full suite of clip-in, sealant-free adaptors, the Liniar Zoom show roof drew some considerable attention at the open days.
Liniar ModLok™ Bi-Fold
The other main product launch on the day centred around the Liniar bi-folding door system. Liniar was the first company to launch a bespoke uPVC bi-fold range system in 2010, and they’ve now raised the bar even higher with their brand new ModLok™ version. Even more rigid in construction, the Liniar ModLok™Bi-Fold provides a ‘heavy duty’ solution for wider door spans of up to 7 panes. The lock and reinforcement has been combined into one for beautiful aesthetics and unparalleled security, and Liniar has addressed potential door mis-handling with a neat master/slave arrangement and folding keys.
Energy efficiency has also been key during development, as the door system utilises the Liniar EnergyPlus outer frame and sash and is also triple-glazing ready. For the first time, a uPVC bi-fold can offer consumers a real alternative to aluminium, being perfectly colour matched to the rest of the Liniar range.
More product innovation
The Liniar team also took the opportunity to update customers on other developments to the range, including its flush sash window, thermally broken low thresholds for residential, French and patio door systems, a 36mm glazing platform to support triple glazed units, foiled cill end caps and a much wider range of stocked foil colours.
The newest Liniar team member was also unveiled, with the introduction of ‘Mark II’ – Liniar’s very own cyclic testing robot. Mark II has been given his own testing laboratory at Liniar’s headquarters and has already tested the ModLok™ Bi-Fold for over 40,000 full opening sequences – more than four times than that required by British Standards – and he’s still going! Mark II will enable Liniar to really put their new products to the test before they are launched to the marketplace, giving fabricators the ultimate reassurance that they will stand up to the rigours of everyday use.
Marketing support
Finally, Liniar revealed its new range of marketing support tools for fabricators and installers, including a full luxury consumer brochure, point of sale items, installation guides and videos and the development of its online media centre. Customers responded positively to the open days, with an overall feedback score of 4.63 out of 5 and many taking the time to tweet their thoughts. Comments included: “Very informative, great new products”; “Loved seeing the amazing improvements to the Liniar Zoom roof” and “The new products coming out are fantastic!” Roger Hartshorn commented:
“These two days have really highlighted what Liniar is all about and the customer feedback we’ve received has been outstanding. I feel events like these keep taking us to new levels and can’t wait for the FIT Show in June!”
