Tilt and Turn Windows
Tilt and turn windows are a multi-functional window option, allowing you to 'tilt' the window or open it fully. This means that you can increase home ventilation without releasing the locking mechanism.
Tilt & Turn Windows
Ideal for larger windows, Liniar uPVC tilt & turn windows offer a versatile choice of openings - with a fully opening aperture from the side, ideal for fire escapes, combined with a tilted pane for controlled ventilation, depending on the position of the handle when opened. Highly secure, Liniar tilt & turn windows are offered with PAS24 and Secured By Design for peace of mind.
A MULTI-PURPOSE, POPULAR WINDOW
A style first made popular in Europe, uPVC tilt and turn windows have risen in UK popularity over the years, thanks to their multi-purpose functionality - especially in upper floors and high-rise buildings. Liniar has taken this style and included innovations including its patented bubble gasket, resulting in a clean, sleek uPVC tilt & turn window that protects against the worst of the British weather.

Tilt and Turn Windows FAQs
What is a tilt and turn window?
A tilt and turn style of window is a multi-functional option, allowing the windows to be fully opened inwards or tilted to allow for secure ventilation.
Are Liniar tilt and turn windows secure when opened in the tilt position?
Yes - as the locking mechanism isn't released when opened on the tilt setting, Liniar tilt & turn windows remain secure whilst allowing ventilation. They are also compatible with PAS24 Security accreditation for peace of mind.
Do Liniar uPVC tilt and turn windows need much maintenance?
No - wiping the frames with a mild detergent will help ensure they remain in perfect condition, and a light oil applied to opening mechanisms each year should keep them operating smoothly. The glass can easily be cleaned from the inside when windows are opened in the 'turn' position.
Do Liniar's uPVC tilt & turn windows include the patented Liniar bubble gasket?
Yes. Liniar's unique, patented co-extruded bubble gasket ensures weatherproof performance. A continuous seal runs around each frame, even in the corners, helping to keep your windows draught and leak free.
How many chambers do Liniar tilt and turn windows have?
Liniar tilt and turn windows include 4 symmetrical chambers inside the frames, which trap in pockets of warm air to keep your home at an even temperature. The frames can handle either double or triple glazed units.
